I’ve had these pieces of wood that were given to me quite some time ago, and I kept wondering, “What can I create with these?” Well… my imagination finally took over! ❤️🎨

I started experimenting with paint, metallics, texture, eyes, and a little bit of my own creative craziness—and this is what happened!

These one-of-a-kind pieces will soon be displayed at Island Time, and I’m keeping them very affordable because I want people to be able to take home an original piece of art without breaking the bank.

🎨 Painting on Wood

I was loving the way my other painting came out, so I decided to try something different and paint a face on a flat, natural piece of wood. I honestly have no idea what kind of wood it is—I just loved the shape, the grain, and all of its imperfections.

There’s something about creating art on an unexpected surface that makes the piece feel even more unique. I’m loving how she’s coming to life. 💚💙✨

Fabric Turned Into Art 🤍

I love experimenting with unexpected materials. This piece was created with fabric—shaped, folded, and textured to turn something soft and simple into a dimensional work of art.

The shadows and highlights change throughout the day, giving the piece a different look depending on the light. Simple, neutral, and full of texture.

Sometimes art doesn’t need color to make a statement. 🤍

🎨 WHAT DOES SHE MAKE YOU FEEL?

She’s not finished yet, but I’m loving how she’s coming to life. I’m layering Skin Tone Light, Nickel Azo Gold, Flesh, and Metallic White, with black and sponge texture surrounding her. And of course, a touch of gold in her hair. ✨

Still more layers and details to go, but so far… I’m liking her. ❤️🎨

In Memory of My Daddy ❤️⚓️

This painting is very special to me. I painted it in memory of my daddy. He was a commercial fisherman and captain of his own shrimp boat.

When I was young, I begged him to take me on one of his trips to Campeche Bay. He finally did—and what an experience! I watched my dad in action, working those big giant nets and bringing in fish and lobsters from the Gulf.

And yes… I got seasick! 😂🌊 But I wouldn’t trade that trip for anything. I got to be out there with my daddy, watching him do what he knew and loved.

Every time I look at this painting, it takes me right back to that trip and those memories with him. ❤️

Some paintings are more than art. They’re memories we get to keep.
