Man calls me and wants to sue the police after he was arrested and his case was dismissed about 24 hours after he had spent 24 hours in jail, and paid 800.00 to post an 8,000.00 bond.

Me: "It is very difficult to sue the police. They have immunity from lawsuits generally, and it is called, "sovereign" immunity. One of the few things worthwhile that came out of the Blacklives Matter movement was the elimination of sovereign immunity for police, and all government officials."

20 year old. Charged with minor in possession of alcohol. Unopened b**r in counsel of vehicle. Girl in the car with him. He did not admit to drinking, and apparently blew a 0 on the field breathalyzer. He did not say it was his.

Never seen anything like this. The lawyer mounts a defense that his client performed the action of the strangulation of the children, now he is saying that she did not. A lawyer in Texas owes a duty of candor towards a tribunal. So is he saying he lied? His client lied?

Crazy? Mentally disturbed? Evil?

"Christa Pike is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on Wednesday, which would make her the first woman to be executed in the state of Tennessee in more than 200 years.

Pike has spent three decades on death row after being convicted of the 1995 killing of Colleen Slemmer. Now 50, Pike was 18 years old at the time of the crime.

The ex*****on is scheduled to go ahead after decades of legal challenges by Pike.

Prosecutors said Pike became jealous of Slemmer, who she accused of attempting to steal her boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp.

On January 12, 1995, Pike, Shipp and another student lured Slemmer to a secluded area near the University of Tennessee's campus, where Pike and Shipp tortured, beat and killed her. Shipp also carved a pentagram into her chest.

Pike kept a piece of Slemmer’s skull, which she later showed to classmates, according to witness testimony at trial."

A lot of time, on a misdemeanor; you can plead guilty for "time served". That is you are arrested, and are in jail for one to ten days, and then are released from jail, usually on a bond.

The issue with a "time served" plea of guilty is that you will have that conviction on your record as a conviction the rest of your life. You are not eligible for a petition for non-disclosure or an expunction.

On faking an attempted su***de attempts, by slitting your wrists and not hitting veins and jumping perhaps seven foot.

On the villification of the lone juror who stood his ground for the guilty finding.

"Yeah, the court has not set a bond in your case. But you are entitled to a bond on your motion to revoke because you are on deferred adjudication probation. If the Assistant D.A. does not agree, we would have to file a motion."

A trip down the wild side. Friend texts, that the Lindsey Clancy trial wherein she killed her three children was a "satanic ritual."

I text back, substantially as follow:

"Well it is in Massachusetts. A friend on the East coast said there are still a lot of witches there.

And there are a lot of bizarre coincidences.

That idiot husband's new wife, is a fertility doctor?

They made a big deal about the fact that none of the doctors found what was wrong with Lindsey, and they blamed that on the doctors.

She was a nurse, she knew exactly how to fake those psychological problems, those alleged psychological problems. There are checklists all over of the symptoms.

And she would know how to kill herself, too. And did not, somehow.

She jumped maybe 7 to 8 foot. You could look up the odds of getting killed when jumping that. The aĺleged slit wrists, did not cut any veins.

It does look like she is likely paralyzed. Assuming the medical records are accurate.

But it's not been intelligently discussed whether or not she can get better if, indeed, paralyzed."

The problem here is, not that he has a new criminal charge. The problem is, is that he was on probation. On a violation of probation case the Judge decides whether to revoke his probation. The same Judge that put him on probation.

He is not entitled to a Jury trial on a violation of probation.

So if he wins the new criminal case and in theory, and if he violated one condition you can be violated and sent to prison.

So, let me tell you . . . .
