Team South Florida, a Non-Profit Law Enforcement Charity Honor fallen Law Enforcement Officers, support their families, promote positive LE incidents, and when appropriate, share the human side of Policing.

ades, Charlotte, Martin, Palm Beach, Hendry, Lee, Broward, Collier, Dade, or Monroe or those who have retired and now reside in one of the above counties. In addition, we welcome civilian volunteers on a case by case basis with close ties to Law Enforcement. Our Team proudly participates in positive community events and promote positive Law Enforcement incidents that are unfortunately seen less frequently. We host an Annual Award Dinner which aims to unite South Florida Law Enforcement and recognize the many accomplishments under one roof regardless of agency, rank, or jurisdiction. As our Nation marks five years since the attack at Abbey Gate, we remember the thirteen American service members who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We should not, we must not, and we will not ever forget them!

Five years later, their sacrifice still matters. Their names still matter. Their lives still matter!

May we never allow time, politics, or complacency to diminish what was lost that day. Their memory deserves more than words. It deserves a Nation that remembers!!

NEW COURSE | CONNECTED BY THE CALL

Every critical incident is experienced from a different perspective.

Emergency communications professionals hear the crisis unfold, make time-critical decisions, and work to protect responders from miles away. Those in the field move toward the same crisis while managing uncertainty, danger, and responsibility. Leaders then guide and support their teams through the incident and its aftermath.

Connected by the Call: Stress, Trauma and Leadership in Public Safety brings these perspectives together through real-world experiences, mental health education, leadership discussion, guided debriefs, and public safety scenarios.

With a strong emphasis on emergency communications, this course is designed for emergency communications professionals, law enforcement, fire rescue, supervisors, and public safety leaders.

The goal is to better understand what others carry, strengthen communication and leadership, and build healthier, more resilient public safety teams.

🖤💙 In Loving Memory of Officer Roshanda Leigh McWilliams 💙🖤

The Sunrise Police Department invites our community, law enforcement family, friends, and loved ones to join us as we honor and remember the life, service, and legacy of Officer Roshanda Leigh McWilliams.

🕯️ Memorial Service: 5:30 PM
📍 Amerant Bank Arena
1 Panther Parkway, Sunrise, FL 33323

Attendees should enter through the North Entrance of the arena.

Officer McWilliams’ marked patrol vehicle will be placed in front of the North Entrance doors as a memorial in her honor. Those attending are welcome to bring flowers or stuffed animals to place on and around her vehicle as a personal tribute and expression of remembrance. 💐🧸💙

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming love, support, prayers, messages, and condolences that have been extended to Officer McWilliams’ family and our Sunrise Police Department family during this difficult time.

Thank you for standing beside us as we come together to celebrate her life, honor her service, and remember the impact she made on so many.
