We proudly announce the formation and funding of the Jay Cermak Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Jay Cermak was a leader at Keller Williams and a member of the KW Rainbow Network. Jay’s career included time as a productivity coach, team leader and most of all, a trainer. Jay’s passion to teach and natural ability to relate to people while always remaining true to himself was a gift that few possess. There is no more fitting memorial for Jay as to make sure that his name lives on educating others.
The initial $10,000 was funded into the Scholarship Fund by the Board of Directors of the LGBT Housing Initiative. The Initiative currently funds organizations across the country that provide housing, life skill and safe harbor to LGBT Youth. The next step is providing scholarship opportunities to these young people so that they can elevate their lives and always be learning. The scholarship will be awarded annually renewable for 4 years of education. There is a goal of raising enough to annuitize the fund to provide several scholarships each year in Jay’s name.
