"Ellen Kaplan and her team gave my husband and I the most positive adoption experience we could have imagined. When adoptive parents start this process it is completely overwhelming. Not only are there a lot of emotions at stake, there is a lot of money at risk as well. Secretary, Caitlin, was so kind and responsive walking us through the process to become active with Ellen. Once we had all of our paperwork in, Ellen spent over three hours on a Zoom call walking us through the adoption process and providing us with the best and most comprehensive education on adoption that we had received throughout the whole process. After this Zoom call we were convinced that Ellen was the right adoption professional to work with. We matched quickly after being active and tragically the baby was stillborn. Ellen's team rallied around us in the best way. They comforted us, gave us time to grieve, and cared deeply for the birth parents. They went to work to help us find our baby once the time was right and we were able to move forward. Maggy, who works directly with the mothers and helps the adoptive parents interface with them was such a gift to us. She was so patient with me when I had a million questions and fears. Not only is she amazing for the adoptive parents to work with, she works tirelessly for the mothers too. I witnessed her go above and beyond, many times, to love and support our birth mom. Lastly, Lyn, Ellen's paralegal was incredibly communicative and was also so quick to answer all our questions and make sure our paperwork and finances were ready and in place. Ellen has assembled a world class team of loving and professional women. During our finalization last month, the joy on Ellen's face was evident. She loves her job and she loves helping connect moms, adoptive parents, and babies. When we adopt again, we will absolutely be working with Ellen."
