A few years ago, every hire kept me up at night. Now I make those calls without blinking.

When I started my firm, I wasn't working off a five-year plan to hire dozens of people. I wanted to do good work for families who needed it. That was the whole ambition.

The growth came faster than I ever pictured. And for a long time, it terrified me.

Every hire kept me up at night.....

What if the work slowed down next quarter?
What if I was wrong about them?

I felt the weight of each decision like it might be the one that broke everything.

That feeling is gone now.

Somewhere along the way, after making those calls over and over, the fear just stopped showing up. The decisions that used to keep me awake are now decisions I make and move past.

It's muscle memory.

So when I look at where we are today, I don't see a finish line. I already know we'll be triple this size before long, and for the first time, that excites me instead of scares me.

People ask if I worry about getting too big. I don't. Staying the same size was never the goal and moving backwards definitely isn't.

Because every time we grow, we get to help more families that look like mine, which is the whole point.
