Today, I had the distinct honor of welcoming a new class of Miami-Dade County Certified Process Servers into the profession on behalf of FAPPS. Congratulations to each of you on earning this important designation.

As you begin this journey, I wish you a long, successful, and above all, safe career. Always remember, due process is not just a procedure, it is a fundamental right.

As the sun set on 2025, we reflected on a year of meaningful growth and the many lessons we learned together—how to work through difficult situations as a team, and how to find moments of laughter even in the toughest circumstances. As we look ahead, new beginnings bring new challenges, and we want to assure our clients that we are ready to meet them.

Thank you for trusting us with the important responsibility of delivering news that many are not eager to receive. In the year ahead, Magic City Process Service will continue to carry out this duty with the highest level of respect, professionalism, and integrity. Due process is a fundamental right, and we are honored to play our role in upholding it.

For a state association, it’s crucial for it to stay attuned to the evolving demands of the industry. Time brings change, and we must ensure that due process—an essential right for all Americans—is upheld. While we encounter pushback from defendants regarding their due process rights, it’s important to balance these concerns with the needs of attorneys and ensure that process servers can operate safely and continue to grow our businesses.

During our recent quarterly meeting, we addressed upcoming legislative changes, discussed challenges we’ve faced, and explored ways to support our association’s ongoing growth and service to others. I’m pleased to share that the state of due process in Florida is stronger than ever.

It was an honor to get called in by the 11th Judicial Circuit’s process serving coordinator, Jennifer Traveis to introduce the new servers into the profession at their swearing in ceremony. Hopefully we were able to help shine a light on some of the issues we face daily, the importance of being informed on Florida statutes around service of process, and the meaning of due process as a right. It was great to be in the company of the leadership in FAPPS. I want to express my gratitude to Mr. Lance Randall and our President, Mr. Chris Yeomen.
