It depends! While most child support obligations will end when the minor child turns 18, there are some circumstances under which support may be extended past the 18th birthday. For example, if the child has not yet graduated high school on their 18th birthday, support may be extended. Many of our clients are surprised to learn that support CANNOT be extended if the child pursues a college or university degree (unless there is an agreement to continue support by both parents)!👨‍👩‍👦

The leasing contract defines the rights and obligations of the lessor and the tenant. These are some terms that are usually included:

-Name of the parties
-Property's address
-Contract's term of duration
- Rental price and payment method for the rent
- Rules for the contract renewal
- States who is responsible for paying basic services bills (water, electricity, garbage collection, etc.)
- Rules about the possession of pets
- Information about the use of parking
- Rules about sublease
- Dispute handling

Many times long contracts can be overwhelming, but the more terms and the more specific they are, it will be better to guard both parties in this transaction.🤝
