Meet Brantley Hammons!

Brantley is our Marketing & Relationships Manager and is one of the first people you’ll speak with when you call Waters Law. From that first conversation throughout the client journey, she works to make sure each client feels welcomed, prepared, and informed about what to expect. She also manages the firm’s marketing and community relationship efforts, helping Waters Law stay connected with the clients, professionals, and communities we serve.

Brantley is passionate about helping people understand the importance of having a plan in place. Everyone needs a plan. No matter where you are in life or how many assets you have, having a plan matters. She believes people should feel informed and empowered to make decisions for themselves and their families before a crisis occurs.

Outside of the office, Brantley enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, shopping, and spending time with her husband, Bryson, her friends, and her family. She is also a Tennessee Vols fan and rarely turns down an iced vanilla latte.

Meet Ashley Huffman!

Ashley is our Director of Operations and has been an integral part of Waters Law for more than eight years. She oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, supports and develops our team, and works closely with potential new clients to help ensure they feel welcomed and prepared from the beginning.

One of Ashley’s favorite parts of her role is seeing a client have an “aha moment”—when things begin to make sense, they feel heard, and some of the uncertainty they have been carrying begins to lift. She takes pride in creating an experience where clients feel supported and confident about their next steps.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband, Gerald, and their two sons, Grayson and Jack. She also enjoys Zumba, day trips, reading, baking, and cheering on the Nashville Predators.

Meet Taylor Beth Gothard!

Taylor Beth is an Associate Attorney at Waters Law, focusing on estate planning and elder law. She helps clients navigate decisions that can initially feel complicated or overwhelming, providing clear guidance so they can understand their options and make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

Taylor Beth believes good planning is about more than preparing for the future, it’s about helping individuals and families feel prepared for life’s unexpected circumstances. She brings a detail-oriented and compassionate approach to her work and is continually expanding her knowledge to better serve her clients.

Outside of the office, Taylor Beth enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam, and their daughters, Riley Claire and Lilly Drew. She also enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves, Tennessee Titans, and Tennessee Vols.

Meet Alex Baker!

Alex is an Associate Attorney at Waters Law, focusing on probate, trust administration, conservatorships, and elder law. He works with individuals and families during what can be difficult and unexpected circumstances, helping them understand the legal process, consider their options, and navigate the decisions ahead.

Conservatorship matters are especially meaningful to Alex. He understands the sensitive decisions families may face when a loved one needs additional care and protection, and he approaches those situations with compassion, patience, and thoughtful legal guidance.

Outside of the office, Alex enjoys camping, reading, especially history, and spending time with his wife, Mary, and their son, Laverne. He is also a Tennessee Vols fan and enjoys Greek food.

Meet Ashley Waters!

We’re kicking off our Meet the Team series with our Owner & Managing Attorney, Ashley Waters!

Ashley founded Waters Law in 2019 with a vision to create a different kind of law firm, one where exceptional legal work and a genuine, personal client experience go hand in hand. Today, Ashley works with individuals and families to navigate important legal and planning decisions while leading Waters Law and continuing to shape the client-focused approach on which the firm was founded.

Law is actually Ashley’s second career. Before becoming an attorney, she earned her MBA and worked in business and project management, managing multimillion-dollar projects supporting NASA programs. That experience continues to shape the thoughtful, organized, and solutions-focused approach she brings to her work and leadership at Waters Law today.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys traveling, camping, fitness, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her husband, Heath, and their two children, Nora and Mason. And on most days, you can probably find her with a smoothie in hand.
