Your Chats with Chatgpt/Claude,etc are not private! What do I mean by that? See below
What if I pay for a subscription? Nope still not private.
A federal judge has now made one thing very clear: conversations with tools like ChatGPT or Claude are **not protected** by attorney-client privilege, trade secret protections, or confidentiality doctrines. Now this is just one Judge, but it is foreseeable that other Judge's will follow suit.
Let that sink in.
If you’re putting sensitive business strategies, legal issues, or proprietary information into AI chats, you should assume:
* It is **not privileged**
* It may be **discoverable**
* It could be treated like a **public statement**
This isn’t fear-mongering—it’s basic risk management.
Use AI intelligently. Draft, brainstorm, refine. But don’t treat it like your lawyer, your vault, or your internal server.
Because right now, legally speaking… it isn’t.
