The Social Security Administration just announced this morning that all beneficiaries of social security retirement and social security disability benefits will receive a 3.6% COLA (cost of living adjustment) increase beginning January, 2027. I will be at a presentation by the Commissioner of Social Security Frank Bisignano tomorrow in Salt Lake City. I will post any other SSA news.

The Social Security Administration will announce the 2027 COLA (cost of living adjustment) increase for beneficiaries' monthly payments next week. The announcement of the 2027 increase, which will be effective the first of the year, will be made on October 14, 2026. Expectations based on recent inflation data suggest a 3.5-3.6 % increase.
