We are very excited for this momentous occasion. For the first time in OhioтАЩs history, Al Rahma Mosque will be able to publicly broadcast the call of prayer at Capital Park apartments.
We are honored that our office was able to assist in anyway we can ensure religious liberties are preserved. Freedom of Religion is the first amendment of the constitution and forms the bedrock of our democracy.
Shout out to my co-organizers who made this possible, Mahir Ali Hodan Mohammed, Luul Ahmed(Diamond), Abdi Ali Afgaab, Sheikh Qassim, Professor Mohamed Salah, Etc.
Special shout out to State Senator Hearcel F. Craig for bestowing this Senatorial Citation to Al Rahma Mosque and for his words of encouragement and leadership. Deeply appreciate all the amazing speakers, including, Rev. Kate Shaner, Malik Moore, Abdikhayr Soofe, Dontavious Jarrells, Director Dada(Noor Islamic Center), Maryan Duale, Kawther Muse and Hassan Omar.
Lastly, we honor the life and achievements of Congressman and Civil Rights giant Rep. John Lewis. It is the sacrifices and strides he so difficultly made that makes this possible.
