Help OSU Students Abused by Dr. Richard Strauss Find Justice.
At least 100 Ohio State University students have reported sexual misconduct by former OSU physician, Dr. Richard Strauss.
Despite learning of Dr. Strauss’ inappropriate behavior in his first year of employment, OSU administrators kept him on staff for twenty years. Between 1978 and 1998, Dr. Strauss sexually assaulted and harassed potentially thousands of students before OSU allowed him to retire with emeritus status.
If you are an OSU alum, who interacted with Dr. Strauss or had knowledge of his abuse, fellow students harmed by his misconduct need your help.
After decades of complaints, OSU finally launched its own formal investigation into Dr. Strauss’ behavior. Several of his victims have partnered with a legal team including Columbus attorney Scott Smith of Scott Elliot Smith, LPA, and non-profit advocates at PublicJustice, to conduct an independent investigation. We seek to hold the University accountable for its role in allowing Dr. Strauss to harm students without consequence.
