Next reports will include Operation END-OHHT which Attorney General Dave Yost called a "statewide human -trafficking operation" which ended up with the arrest of 132 people.

Although, as the Columbus Dispatch reported, the operation didn't snag any human traffickers. It did snag publicity for Dave Yost.

Columbus Prostitution Arrests - July 2024

Total of 16 arrests. 3 females arrested 7/9, 7/26, and 7/30. All on Sullivant Avenue.

7 males arrest 7/11 on Sullivant and Wheatland which is PACT's favorite spot.

Dublin Police arrested a 24 year old Hispanic female on 7/9 at the Extended Stay, 450 Metro Place. She was incarcerated although she listed a westside Columbus address and was released on recognizance the next day. Her case was dismissed in arraignment. Somewhat unusual.

An former Columbus vice cop who previously dodged a sentence for killing a s*x worker has been convicted for abducting more s*x workers.

In a light month, there were a total of 11 arrests.

6/13 2 women on Weber
6/21 2 women on Cleveland
6/26 3 women on Sullivant

6/27 4 men on Main St

July is also looking very light.

Columbus Prostitution Arrests: May 2024

Men: none

31 men were in arraignment court the week of 5/20 from various arrests in 2023/2024. All appeared in court. 22 cases were resolved with a plea to Disorderly Conduct and a $250 fine plus court costs (about $100).

Total of 33 by Columbus Police. Suburbs took the month off.

Women

One arrest on Weber and 13 on Sullivant.

Men

Six men arrested on Cleveland Ave on 4/3. 4 men arrested on parsons on 4/24. 8 men arrested on Sullivant, 6 on 4/19.

Antjuan Mitchell was arrested for soliciting on Sullivant on 4/5. He was arrested twice in February. 2 cases dismissed, one dismissed for cost. Mitchell is in common Pleas court on three felony assaults. He is in RISE Court which is an intense 2 year probation program.
