We are so excited to now include to our summer adventure day camp !

There is so much to do! Climbing walls, an indoor first of its kind, climbing system, high ropes course, a zipline, basketball hoops and a state of the art ninja course! They even have a course for little ones!

A perfect day to Explore Put-in-Bay!
Today we took the Explorers on an adventure to Put-in-Bay!

Wednesday’s are a perfect day for families and groups like ours.

An easy 2.5 hour drive to Miller’s Ferry.
Once off the ferry we were met by our own personal tram!

We had a picnic lunch in the center of town and then made our way to Perry’s Cave fun park.

We Explored Perry’s cave, visited the butterfly house , played putt putt and found our way through fort amaze.

We finished our day with grilled hotdogs and fixins that I made with one of the grills available for all to use in the center of town.

Summer Camp at the JUNIOR EXPLORER CLUB is a daily adventure camp that offers exciting adventures in and around Ohio, with optional swim and dance classes as well as daily arts, crafts, music, and more! Located conveniently off the 315 and Henderson road exit, our Clubhouse is the “go to” indoor playground of fun for kids of all ages.

We offer After-school care and transportation for Kindergarten to fifth grades in all Upper Arlington elementary schools. Our staff is heavily vetted, background checked, bonded, licensed and insured. Your child’s time with us will involve activities to nourish young development and educational opportunities. Adventure time may include field trips, library visits, arts and crafts, museums, swim lessons and more! We are open to specific and custom needs of your child. Just let us know.

Our Early Explorers program offers part-time and full-time care, as well as lunch and snacks included in tuition. Our unique blend of teaching combined with the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education by providing a learning environment that mirrors what we have been doing at the JUNIOR EXPLORER CLUB by using nature and beyond. This method of instruction views young children as individuals who are curious about their world and have the powerful potential to learn from their surroundings by utilizing creative play. Our programs are strategically designed to build upon the other which ultimately prepares our Early Explorers for starting Kindergarten.

💝TEAM JEC! 💝

The JUNIOR EXPLORER CLUB is proud to be a part of the 2021 Komen Columbus Race for the Cure.

In the past we have walked in honor of Cindy Dyas, the mother of our Regional Program Director, Kelly Dyas. This year we are adding our very own Miss Sondra Slone, the mother of our CEO Michele Rapp, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, to our list. Sondra received the unfortunate news that she had breast cancer and has already undergone a breast removal and started radiation. This all transpired within a month from diagnosis to surgery to radiation. To say she is fighter is an understatement. For those of you who know Miss Sondra, you know she has been such a staple and huge part of our JEC community. She has inspired our young explorers to discover various new outlets including cooking, baking, gardening, proper etiquette and her favorite to share, ballroom dancing! We “walk” in support of her and all our other family & friends who have been impacted by cancer.

Not new to the world of Race for the Cure, our very own Kelly Dyas, has strong ties to the race through her mother, Cindy Dyas. Kelly's story about her mother is beautiful and we encourage you to read more about our donation page.

Our first adventure since COVID shut the world down

Monday, March 1, 2021 is the start of a new chapter for our little Upper Arlington community and quite a momentous occasion. The UA school district will begin 5 day in-school learning. On Friday, we celebrated with a big ole dance party in our PJS!

It’s been a roller coaster of year on the corona-coaster 🎢 and we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge our thanks and the incredible undertaking that families, children and staff has overcome. Thank you to everyone for your support and understanding as we embraced the many challenges. It’s been a privilege and a blessing that the JUNIOR EXPLORER CLUB was able to pivot our after-school program to accommodate our families and children by offering full day E-learning.

We wish our families and children a wonderful week as we embark on this journey to normalcy.

My staff and I have had the honor of helping these kiddos navigate the many transitions throughout the last year and we are in awe of their strength. As an added bonus to this exercise, Explorers will add their own personal message of inspiration and kindness on post it notes. As the wall builds, we will share their inspirational quotes of kindness. Be sure to check back in a week. 📝
