Charcuterie meats are plentiful, delicious and come in a variety of price ranges. From beef summer sausages to pâtés (tasty spreadable meats made w/ liver).

More Cheese Please! 🧀

A good mix of cheese makes a good board fabulous.

There are soft creamy cheeses like triple cream brie. Triple cream brie is a buttery cheese that has a butterfat content of 75% or more.

It has a mild flavor, it goes well with fruit, jams and jellies and also easily smooths over bread and crackers. Brie pairs best with champagne. 🍾

There are semi hard cheeses. Semi hard cheeses are made like hard cheeses but with a higher moisture content. Gouda is a popular semi hard board cheese. It has a slightly spongy texture and an aromatic and/or caramel flavor. It is also often smoked and has a nice smoky flavor. Gouda pairs well with a variety of wines from Cabernets to Chardonnays. 🍷

An easy go-to for hard cheeses when it comes to boards are cheddar cheeses. Cheddar is also considered a funky or pungent cheese. Cheddar pairs well with a variety of wines. However, because everyone is not into wines, I like the fact that it pairs well with beers including IPAs, brown ale and dark lager. 🍺
