Studies show same-sex divorces are on the rise among le****ns, who tend to face greater negative financial implications and bigger hits to their retirement from divorce than gay men. The reasons are varied, but experts say it has a lot to do with women earning less than men and being less likely to benefit from larger Social Security divorced spousal benefits, higher alimony, and a share of larger retirement funds and assets than gay and heterosexual divorcees.
