This was professionally the largest case we have handled, but personally, the most difficult. Our client entered a jail with vision in both eyes, and he left the jail a few months later completely blind in one eye and with severely compromised vision in the other. There truly wasn't a number that would make him whole. No one would trade one of their five senses, and certainly not vision, for any amount of money. But, we fought this case for nearly four years to arrive at a number that at least set our client on a course that he can afford all the medical devices and specialized care he will need going forward.
