DHS has announced that the TPS registration period for Cameroon has begun. To view the notice on the Federal Register, follow this link:

"Through this notice, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announces that
the Secretary of Homeland Security (Secretary) is designating Cameroon for Temporary
Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, effective June 7, 2022, through December 7, 2023."

DHS posted a notice on the Federal Register for students from recently designated TPS countries, such as Ukraine, Sudan, and South Sudan.
"The Secretary of Homeland Security is suspending certain regulatory requirements for F-1 nonimmigrant students whose country of citizenship is Ukraine, regardless of country of birth (or individuals having no nationality who last habitually resided in Ukraine), and who are experiencing severe economic hardship as a direct result of the ongoing armed conflict in Ukraine."

The Biden Administration has announced Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Cameroonians in the US. The TPS program will allow Cameroonians who have lived in the U.S. as of April 14, 2022 to obtain work permits and deportation protections for 18 months if they meet the eligibility requirements and pass background checks.
An update for filing asylum claims: "If you believe you are a member of the Mendez Rojas class, you will have until April 22, 2022, to raise a claim that the one-year deadline to file a Form I-589 does not apply to you under the terms of the final settlement agreement. You may raise this claim in a new asylum filing, in a pending filing, or through a motion before the immigration court or the Board of Immigration Appeals, whichever applies. For more information regarding the class definitions and the terms of the settlement agreement, please see the final settlement agreement."
