What a great morning at Show Me Referrals!
We kicked things off by celebrating our Notable Networkers for the month of May. A huge congratulations to Sean, James, Jennifer, Kaiser, and Jaclyn for being absolute rockstars in our chapter. Your dedication, consistency, and support of fellow members do not go unnoticed!
We also heard from Laura Royse, who shared about her core value of accountability. Accountability is such an important part of BNI because it helps us show up for one another, follow through on our commitments, and build stronger relationships. Whether it is bringing referrals, inviting visitors, or simply being present and engaged, accountability creates trust — and trust is what makes our network so powerful.
Lastly, we had the opportunity to hear from Josh Thompson with Shelter Insurance, who was interviewed by the brave Janice Woods with OnMedia. Josh walked us through real-life scenarios and reminded us how important it is to be proactively prepared when it comes to life insurance.
He shared insight into common situations families face, the different policies Shelter Insurance offers, and highlighted children’s policies, including how they can be transferred when children reach a certain age. Life insurance can be a sensitive and emotional topic, but Josh handled it with so much compassion, knowledge, and care.
Josh also shared why he does what he does, and it was clear how passionate he is about helping people protect the ones they love. Thank you, Josh, for your leadership in our group and for bringing such heart to a heavy but important conversation. We are grateful to have someone so compassionate and trustworthy in our chapter.
