Another great Tuesday morning with Show Me Referrals! 🙌

We kicked off our meeting with Novy Foland sharing on one of BNI’s Core Values, Lifelong Learning. Novy talked about how quickly things continue to evolve in business and in life, and the importance of continuing to learn, grow, and always find ways to “sharpen the saw.” Such a great reminder that there is always something new we can learn from one another! 📚

We also had the opportunity to do our Launching Speed for Wesam Sabri with CoreStack! 🚀 Wesam encouraged everyone to take some time to check out their website and connect with him for a no-pressure analysis to better understand what CoreStack does and how their services may be able to help your business. A great way for our members to learn more about Wesam, his expertise, and who makes a great referral for him!

Lastly, our featured presenter today was Mitchell Christine with Cornerstone Landscaping! 🌿 Mitchell shared the story behind Cornerstone Landscaping and how the business has grown since he first entered the industry in 2020. We also got a much better understanding of just how much they offer—from mowing, lawn treatments, spring maintenance, aeration and overseeding, and snow removal to larger projects like paver patios and landscape curbing.

One thing that really stood out was Mitchell’s focus on doing things the right way and taking the extra steps needed to create quality, long-lasting work. It was great getting a behind-the-scenes look at the process and craftsmanship that goes into their projects!

Another great Tuesday morning with Show Me Referrals! 🙌

We were also excited to officially swear in two new members to our chapter this week! 🎉 Please help us welcome Wesam Sabri, Web Developer, and Matthew Sause with Goldie’s Pest Control. We’re excited to have both of them joining our group, building relationships, and bringing even more great connections and expertise to our chapter!

We kicked things off with our Education Coordinator, Novy Foland, who shared some great reminders about creating a strong weekly sales pitch. Keep it memorable, keep it short, and keep it simple! Those weekly moments are such a great opportunity to help everyone in the room better understand who you are, what you do, and how they can refer business your way.

Mitchell also shared about one of BNI’s core values, Building Relationships, and why it is so important to our chapter. At the end of the day, referrals start with trust, connection, and genuinely getting to know the people around us!

Lastly, we got to hear from our featured speaker, Nathan, who holds our Nonprofit/Funding classification with Athletes in Action. Athletes in Action is a Christian ministry focused on helping athletes and coaches grow in their faith and use the platform of sports to make an impact in the lives of others.

Nathan brings so much passion, leadership, and a genuine willingness to help those around him. He makes such a positive impact on our group, and we are truly grateful to have him as part of Show Me Referrals!

Another great Show Me Referrals meeting this week! 🙌

We were excited to kick off the day with Nathan Buxman sharing on one of BNI’s core values: Givers Gain.

Nathan gave some great examples of what it looks like to truly live out that value—supporting fellow members, looking for opportunities to help others succeed, and giving without expecting something in return. It was a great reminder of why Givers Gain is such an important part of the culture we’re building together.

Our featured speaker, Nathan Smith with Cintas, also did a fantastic job! Nathan made his presentation fun and interactive with a game that got the whole room involved, while also helping us better understand just how many different types of businesses Cintas serves.

From restaurants and bars, schools and daycares, hospitals and clinics, event centers, nonprofits and churches, to industrial and automotive businesses, Nathan showed us that Cintas can help just about anywhere—his presentation summed it up perfectly: “If they have a door and a floor.” - "If you see Red Flags, see a white truck"

We had a great meeting this week. Welcoming an”old” now new member back to our chapter. Brian Asbury is now with A1 Foundation Solutions. We also heard from Mike Slagle with Macon Marketing Group. He specializes in block-chain video security and utilizing AI in your everyday life. Don’t forget we recognized our master networkers from July.

Another fantastic Tuesday morning at Show Me Referrals Mid-Missouri! 🎉

We kicked off the meeting by officially swearing in and welcoming our newest members, Brian Asbury with A1 Foundation Solutions and Dan Hlavac with Open and Honest AI! We’re excited to have both of you as part of our chapter and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make through the power of relationships and referrals.

We also heard an excellent Core Value presentation from Mike Slagle, who focused on Accountability. Mike reminded us that accountability isn’t just about following through—it’s about building trust, keeping commitments, and creating stronger relationships both inside and outside of BNI. It was a great reminder that small actions, done consistently, make a big difference.

Our featured speaker this week was Samantha Walker with Palvella Bookkeeping & Business Strategies. Samantha shared the “why” behind her business and her genuine passion for serving others through financial clarity. Palvella partners with small businesses and nonprofits by providing bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, QuickBooks setup and training, business strategy, workflow improvements, and operational support—helping business owners spend less time worrying about their books and more time growing their business. Her heart for service truly shined through!

Another great Tuesday morning with the Show Me Referrals Mid Missouri chapter! 👏

Tom kicked off our meeting with the Purpose & Overview of BNI, reminding us that BNI exists to help businesses grow through a structured, positive, and professional referral marketing program built on the philosophy of Givers Gain®. It’s all about building meaningful relationships that lead to quality referrals and long-term success—not just for ourselves, but for one another.

🎉 What an incredible Visitor Day for Show Me Referrals! 🎉

The room was packed with more than 60 members and visitors, connections were flying, and the energy felt fantastic from beginning to end!

Jason kicked us off regarding purpose and overview of BNI & he always leads by example

Next was Michelle with a Core Value highlight on Traditions + Innovation, sharing how BNI continues to honor the traditions that work while embracing new ideas and opportunities for growth.

Novy then broke down the ROI—Return on Investment—of BNI, showing how your membership and marketing dollars are multiplied through referrals, relationships, education, visibility, and a team of trusted professionals helping promote your business.

Last but certainly not least, our featured speaker, Sean Spence with Lakeside Ashland, gave us a great high-level look at this unique local entertainment and event venue. Lakeside offers outdoor movies, live entertainment, sports watch parties, a zipline, concessions, private event rentals, and VIP group experiences. Their team can also help customize private events with options such as movies, live music, amusement rides, staffing, security, and more. 👏 Another great Tuesday morning at Show Me Referrals!

This week, Novy Foland, our Education Coordinator, reminded us that inviting visitors is about more than filling a seat—it’s about building relationships and making every guest feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.

We also heard from Sean Spence with Lakeside Ashland, who shared BNI’s core value of Lifelong Learning. Sean spoke about the importance of continually growing, staying curious, and always looking for opportunities to learn something new that helps us become better professionals and better people.

Our featured speaker was Stephen Garlock with Air & Clean Water Solutions, who gave us an inside look at the many services his team provides—from HVAC and water treatment to generators, radon mitigation, and more. He also shared common homeowner “referral triggers,” helping us recognize everyday conversations that can turn into valuable referrals for his business.
