Monday Market Update - Sumter & Columbia

Sumter County: Median price $269,900, holding steady. Homes selling right at asking price in about 58 days, with more choices on the market than last year. Balanced market.

Columbia: Median sold $249,000, down from August. Nearly 1,940 homes for sale - up 17% from last year. A buyer's market with room to negotiate.

Rates: The 30-year is at 7.37%, its first dip after three climbs. And 62% of Southeast agents say they're optimistic about the year ahead.
