No question that our Frenchie Reese is cute but there’s also no question that she isn’t the brightest dog we’ve ever had. Here she is this morning, barking at herself and she won’t stop. EB

This morning, I spoke to the downtown South Carolina Columbia Rotary group about the upcoming second Murdaugh trial and my book ANYTHING BUT BLAND.

I saw some familiar faces such as Perry Lancaster one of the owners of Britain’s clothing store, which will be closing for good sadly on December 31, 2026, and my friend and an attorney Ben Carlton.

I always enjoy speaking to Rotary groups because they give so much more of themselves than they expect to get in return.

I have some upcoming speeches in Florida and in Charleston, but I am available if you want me to speak at your rotary group or any group of people larger than 15. Thanks EB

Here is the finish product that our local well-known artist Brian Heckman did for our two new dogs, Reese and Pudge. Reese got her candy shop and Pudge is named after our favorite cheesesteak and hoagie place in Norristown Pennsylvania called Pudges. If you look closely Brian painted a French bulldog with the big mustache that Pudges has. Here is the painting that he did with all of our dogs we have had in front of our previous Home. Finally hear some brick work that he painted in our kitchen. If anyone is interested in having Brian Heckman do some work at their home let me know and I’ll put you in touch with him. He’s massively talented. EB

Look what our good friend and incredibly talented artist Brian Heckman has added to the Dog wall Hall of Fame. He has added Reese’s candy shop and he’s about to add Pudge’s cheesesteaks and hoagie shop. I will post that when he is done. If you guys live in the Midlands of South Carolina and you want some neat hand paint and stuff on your walls Brian is the man. I will post some of the work that he’s done in our house. EB

Fall is our favorite time of the year. Love Halloween, Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. Family, Football, good food, hoodies, fires, and Halloween decorations. We put up our headless Horseman that we got for this year’s Halloween on our front porch looks cool. EB

There’s nothing like that special bond of friendship that has stood the test the time. Last night Renee and I went to our friend Jena Rucker’s 60th birthday party. She’s a beautiful woman inside and out. She was one of my first legal assistants when I first came to South Carolina in the early 1990s. But that relationship Blossomed into a lifelong love affair that Renee and I have with her and her husband, Charles Rucker . That’s how Life is supposed to work out. EB

This was a meaningful purchase. Yesterday on 911 I mounted my new flag pole and flag on my dock. I remember almost everything about that day and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. Our country was changed forever. Let’s get back to being as one and have a unified belief that evil will never win. EB
