Let me dispel the notion that many of you have posited and that is “dick intentionally and purposefully lied to the court about alex taking and passing a polygraph”. That somehow this was all planned and dick knew what he was doing. WRONG. NO WAY.

DICK did not have a master plan to do this. No lawyer especially dick wants and is willing to be branded forever as a liar and now the entire world saw it and knows it.

No. I am afraid it was an extremely careless representation to the court and maybe he is not as sharp as he once was. He is around 76 years old. He is smart enough to know he is being fact checked in real time by the media and murdaugh followers. It was a reckless statement. Instead of helping alex it hurt him. Like doctors, lawyers should do no harm. Alot of harm to the system, to lawyers in general, to alex’s defense but most of all Dick’s legacy will forever be tarnished by this.

How does this affect Dick’s other clients? Will he lose clients and future ones because of this? How will he be viewed going forward by other judges? All legitimate questions

Jack Swerling would never make such a mistake. He is on a different level than Dick. EB

I am so excited. Today I got delivery of my Sorinex X Factor. My two good friends Tex and Dray helped me put it upstairs in the weight room and put it together. It is heavy duty. The X factor is by far the best overall body single machine that you can use. They put EB on the machine so I see it every time I use it. Renee, Davis and I are very excited about using it every day. Here’s the reality and the repercussions of Dick Harpootlian’s lie that he told the court about Alex Murdaugh passing a polygraph test.

Good Lawyers every day do good deeds for their clients and are honest and Earnest. They represent their clients ethically and they fulfill their duties to the courts when they appear in front of them and are honest in their presentations. The public never hears about those.

But just like when Alex Murdaugh was outed for stealing millions from his clients, it does irreparable damage to Lawyers in general and to the bar. The public will remember Harpootlian’s lie to Judge Mcaslin about the lie detector test for many many years going forward and it will shape the continued impressions that the public has about Lawyers. Sad but true. Thanks Dick. EB

Here’s something to chew on. If you work hard all week and you take your wife or your partner out for a very expensive steak to celebrate a great week, and when you take the first bite of that steak, it is rancid, I ask you are you going to finish the rest of the steak or are you going to send it back? Of course you’re going to send it back. You’re not going eat the rest of the steak.

From this point forward, this is the challenge that Dick Harpootlian will face not only with Judge Mcaslin but with every other Judge in every other case, going forward. Because he lied about Alex taking a polygraph and passing it, and it was one of his first statements he made to the court, will he get the benefit of the doubt going forward that this just one instance where he was not being accurate and truthful, and he will be believed on everything else he says. I’m not so sure. Time will tell. EB

The question that I now have is will Alex Murdaugh keep Dick Harpootlian as his lead trial lawyer or because Harpootlian‘s credibility is forever tainted not only with this court but potentially with others, will he make a switch on the defense team and only go with Jim Griffin and possibly another lawyer. Decisions, decision decisions. EB
