Marriage + Interior Design = Apparently I’m On Timeout. 😂🏡

LaToya told me she needed to stop by HomeGoods to pick out pillows for one of her interior design clients.

Naturally, I thought I could just sit comfortably in the car and wait. 😎

WRONG. 😂

She told me I had to come inside with her…and somewhere between looking at pillows and me apparently getting in the way, I got sent to sit in a chair until she finished. 🤣

So what am I supposed to do now? TWIRL! 🌀😂

This is what happens when your wife is a real estate agent AND an interior designer that takes decorating VERY seriously.

Apparently, my job is real estate…and staying out of the designer’s way. 😂🏡

🍽️ Have you been to The Golden Spur in Columbia, SC? If you have, tell us what you ordered and how your experience was in the comments! 👇

After helping our daughter Daniella move into her dorm at the University of South Carolina, LaToya and I decided it was time to celebrate with a good meal — and The Golden Spur Grill did NOT disappoint.

This is one of those places that reminds us why we enjoy Living in Columbia, SC. There’s always another restaurant, neighborhood, event, or local spot to discover.

Our table looked like this:

🥗 LaToya — Fall Salad with grilled shrimp
🍔 Daniella — All-American Cheeseburger
🍤 Me — Shrimp & Grits…and these were some of the BEST Shrimp & Grits I’ve had in a long time.

And yes, I’m saying that with one exception…mine. 😂

The food was excellent, but the customer service made the experience even better. Hats off to our waitress, Jade! She took great care of us.

The Golden Spur is at 700 Lincoln Street, right across from Colonial Life Arena, making it a great spot to know about if you're around the USC campus, heading downtown, or going to an event at the arena.

⭐ Our rating: 10/10. We highly recommend it.
