I’m watching Project Primestone closely. This $303 million high-tech graphics-card testing lab (not a data center, though it may look and feel like one) is approved for 3819 Janitell Road on Colorado Springs’ south side. The project could bring about 60 specialized engineering and technician jobs and influence long-term demand around Janitell and Southside Research Park.

Appeals focused on environmental impacts and energy demands are tentatively set for the Planning Commission on November 12, 2026. For commercial and industrial landowners, and nearby home sellers, this is a development worth following, while the review process continues.

I help buyers and sellers understand what local changes could mean for their real estate decisions. Learn more at sellmycshome.com

Can you guess the landmark before reading the answer?

The answer is Denver Union Station in Denver, Colorado. Opened in 1881 and rebuilt in Beaux-Arts style in 1914, the station is famous for its illuminated “Travel by Train” sign and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

After its 2012–2014 restoration, Denver Union Station became a multimodal transit hub and the historic anchor of Lower Downtown, or LoDo. Its role as a rail crossroads helped fuel Denver’s growth, while the restoration helped drive the revitalization of the surrounding commercial district.

Have you passed through Denver Union Station? Comment below or share your favorite LoDo memory.

I’m keeping an eye on a notable shift in Colorado Springs: single-family building permits fell to 42 in September 2026, compared with 181 a year earlier. That drop came after the Model Low Energy Code and Wildfire Resiliency Code took effect July 1, though one month of permit data doesn’t tell the whole story or prove a single cause.

If the new-construction pipeline keeps thinning while resale inventory builds, buyers may have fewer new homes to choose from, and fewer builder incentives to weigh against an existing home. For owners of homes built 5–15 years ago, less competition from builder credits could make a well-presented resale home more appealing. The right strategy still depends on your home and local competition.

I can help you understand what this changing mix could mean for your next move. Visit sellmycshome.com to start the conversation.

Can you guess before reading the answer?

The answer is Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs.

General William Jackson Palmer founded Colorado Springs in 1871 and named his nearby estate Glen Eyrie, meaning “Valley of the Eagle’s Nest.” He later built the red-sandstone Tudor Revival castle on the property, set beneath the towering red-rock formations near Garden of the Gods.

Today, Glen Eyrie lives on as a conference and retreat center, preserving an important piece of Colorado Springs history.

I’d love to know: Have you visited the estate, or driven past its gates? Share your experience in the comments, and tell me whether you guessed the answer before reading it!
