Also, be sure to keep comments to yourself while inside the home. You never know if the homeowners have security cameras. We don’t want them to hear your concerns or how excited you are about the house. It could hinder your chance of getting an offer accepted.

One of the biggest misconceptions when it comes to buying a home is consumers don’t realize they can shop around for their mortgage rate. A survey conducted by the National Associate of Home Builders (NAHB) showed that 40% of buyers have been outbid for a home that they submitted an offer on. This is more than double the percentage in 2019, which was 19%. What does this mean? Well, for sellers, it means that they’re in the driver’s seat and get to control a little more of the negotiations.
