Law Office of Rhonda B Ives

Law Office of Rhonda B Ives I'm Rhonda Ives, when people choose me to help them resolve their legal issue, they quickly learn that they have enlisted much more than just a lawyer.

They find that they have a trusted adviser on their side, a friend who will steer them through difficult Life's twists and turns take many people by surprise in matters of family law and criminal law. No one sets out ahead of time to be arrested for drunk driving, to be charged with domestic violence, to face paternity issues or to need a divorce. When such legal challenges arise, some people make

the mistake of trying to resolve matters on their own. They may seek to attempt to use the services of a public defender or craft a “do it yourself” divorce.

Victim Services Teams provide comfort and direction to:
• Families coping with the loss of a loved one
• Victims of crime

Our advocates offer short-term crisis intervention and emotional support during some of life’s most difficult moments. Teams are trained by the Michigan Sheriffs’ Association and work under the direction of the local Sheriff’s Office.

What to Expect:
✔ 20-hour training provided by the Michigan Sheriffs’ Association
✔ Training includes grief stages, communication skills, law enforcement protocols, and victims’ rights
✔ Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community

Victim Services Advocates come from all walks of life. Many have experienced personal loss or hardship and feel called to help others during their time of need.

The Michigan Sheriffs’ Association introduced this program in 1988. It is nationally recognized and received the Presidential Citation for Private Sector Initiatives in 1989.

If you have a heart to serve and want to stand beside those facing tragedy, we invite you to join our team.
