Urgent care centers provide convenient, after-hours treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. However, as the number of facilities continues to grow across Florida, so have reports of medical errors and patient injuries.

Common forms of urgent care malpractice can include misdiagnosis, medication errors, negligent procedures, failure to refer patients to a specialist, and inadequate follow-up care.

At Ratzan Weissman & Boldt, our attorneys focus on identifying patterns of negligence, obtaining and analyzing medical records, establishing clear timelines, and consulting with medical experts to effectively litigate complex malpractice cases.

The recent voluntary recall of more than 63,000 containers of A2 Platinum infant formula due to potential cereulide bacterial toxin contamination raises serious concerns about infant formula safety and manufacturer accountability.

Families rely on infant formula manufacturers to maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, especially for vulnerable infants who depend on formula as a primary source of nutrition.

At Ratzan Weissman & Boldt, we take these matters seriously and have extensive experience handling cases involving baby formula and consumer safety concerns.

As investigations continue, this recall highlights the critical importance of transparency, rigorous safety protocols, and stronger oversight across the infant formula industry.

In a recent interview with reporter Ben Becker of Action News Jax, Founding Partner Stuart Ratzan discusses how gaps in roadway safety extend beyond maintenance concerns and present significant liability risks.

Citing new reporting from the Florida Department of Transportation, the conversation raises serious questions about whether express lane safeguards are being properly upheld along I-295, and what that means for overall driver safety.

Ratzan explains that deteriorating or poorly maintained lane dividers can encourage dangerous driving behavior, creating conditions that increase the likelihood of accidents and legal exposure. As he notes, “People drive over them. They drive around them. They knock them over… They create an invitation for lane diving,” underscoring how long-standing maintenance issues have only intensified the risk.
