Opening day of Shell Island did not disappoint. These two walked off the beach with a sand dollar in hand and two mesh bags packed edge to edge with shells. Months of the island being closed for nesting season means the shelling backs up, and today was the payoff.

Ask anyone who was on this trip and they'll tell you the same thing: best shelling day of the year.

Perhaps I simply have a small effect on the girls & women along my path having no descendants of my own. However I travel I hope it leaves a blip of strength and value with every girl of every age I may encounter. ❤️

Wishing all y’all a wonderful holiday season (we’ve had our tree up since october) starting with Thanksgiving an continuing all through the new year.
Ken and I shared turkey dinner with my parents at noon. My sister, her youngest daughter, and my brother & SIL were there. We are always laughing so today was the same. Tomorrow we have the Rhoden Show arriving for another noon meal. Can’t wait!
