Our final day of our UW @ LA Back to Basics campaign may be done, but United Way Space Coast can use your support all year. Reach out to them to learn how you can help too!
Our grand finale was our annual Grub Crawl. We had 7 different chef teams volunteer to set up tables with their family favorite foods, and it was amazing!
Congratulations to our winning chef teams!
Best Dip: Esquites by Alyssa, Shelline and Rosalina
Best appetizers: It was a tie! Esquites won again along with Potato Gnocchi cups by Briana and Stormie!
Best Desserts: Fruit sugar cookies by Julie and Kristina!
Our chefs won gift cards to Sandbar Sports Grill - Cocoa Beach!

We can't forget to share the most competitive part of our UW @ LA Campaign Week! Change Wars was a battle to the very end. Team Education had a commanding lead going into the final day, but the war was not over by a long shot!
Our teams went all out, and the final victory went to Team Health! All in all, our teams raised $1,247.99 in change and cash donations! But the real winners are the agencies supported by the United Way Space Coast donations we received all week!
Final standings:
Team Health❤️, with today's donations of $160.38 in change and $43.00 in dollars, earned a final total of 17,646 points!
Team Financial Wellness💰, with today's donations of $41.83 in change and $83.00 in dollars, earned a final total of -3,578!
Team Education📚 was the big fundraiser today😁 They raised $138.36 in change and $348.00 in dollars, leaving them with a final total of -6,612 points!

We raffled off a few more winners for PTO, with Krista and Malinda winning 4 hours PTO each! Nathan won a gift basket from Meg O'Malleys! Linden won a gift card from Odyssey Pizza and Subs. Huge thank you to our generous sponsors for donating prizes, we were also able to give out a gift basket from Nitro Kitchen , along with gift cards to The Alibi Cocktails & Bites, 4th Street Fillin Station, Dirty Birds Tiki Bar and Grill, and Koko Japanese Pub!

HfH Supportive Housing's supportive services and affordable housing solutions gives back to the community in many ways – by helping individuals and families attain and maintain a productive life; by providing disadvantaged children with the opportunity to grow and learn in a stable, nourishing environment. HfH offers a variety of housing and supportive services for Veterans experiencing homelessness: Bridge Housing, Low Demand, Service Intensive, Case Management, and Permanent Housing.

Day 4 of our UW @ LA Back to Basics campaign week was packed full of good!
Half of our team volunteered their lunch hour to pack weekend snack bags for our local school kids with The Children's Hunger Project! Just add a little friendly competitive streak, and we packed 960 meals in under an hour! We had a blast putting it all together. What an awesome staff and group of volunteers!
Everyone who volunteered today was added to a raffle, and Sophia won a $25 gift card to Sandbar!
Our VIP donors also received an ice cream float this afternoon to say thank you for keeping United Way Space Coast afloat with their donations! It was a delicious way to end the day! CHANGE WARS is going to be a battle to the very end. Team Education has a strong lead, but there's one more day to make that change by donating our change!

The Children's Hunger Project's mission is to make sure children here in Brevard County start each school week focused, healthy, and ready to learn. They step in to fill the critical weekend gap by providing food packages, ensuring children return to school after the weekends nourished and ready to learn. They're serving nearly 5,000 kids right here in our community every week. Check out their website to find out how you can support them throughout the year!

We're halfway through our UW @ LA Back to Basics campaign week, and we are still going strong!
Today, we tested our team's knowledge on local agencies that are partnered with United Way Space Coast, and Kristina came out on top! She walked away with a $50 gift certificate to Florida's Fresh Grill!

Our Change War had its most epic battle today date! Every team stepped up their donations of change and dollar bills, but Team Education is standing firmly in the lead. There are 2 days left, so it's not over for the other teams yet!

Reading makes you one smart cookie! Early Learning Coalition of Brevard has a mission with the goal that each Brevard child will start school prepared to succeed. They provide leadership and support of School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten programs so that children and families can benefit from the highest quality early care and education at affordable prices. They've helped set up 13 Little Free Libraries around Brevard County and partnered with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to help get books in the hands of kids so they are ready for kindergarten and beyond!

Day 2 of our UW @ LA campaign is coming to a close. We had our first 50/50 raffle, which collected $1168 in donations! Congratulations to Tim, who walked away with $584!! We pulled another raffle ticket, and Amanda won a gift basket from Long Doggers!

Change Wars got extra heated today, and Team Education ended up on top for the 2nd day in a row. We've raised an additional $53.67 in change and dollar bills alone!

Education= 356 points

Financial wellness= -776 points

Health= -213 points! We're just getting started, so keep up with our campaign here every day!
