So ….What’s next!?! More field inspections…I’m doing an online class with one of the goats 🐐 Ebony Locke (she’s one of my mentors too and im in her skool mentorship program by the way) …if you would like to know more ….hit me up…anyways she is teaching an incoming field inspections class on Wednesday with another notary. I am also going to get started in doing my RON certification shortly…..I’m easing into doing notary services right now as it’s getting colder outside brrr 🥶 and I really dont like to be outside when its cold ….. (which is why im working on getting my RON certification soon) …..lol 😂 🤣 and i have some more business expenses to work on behind the scenes such as establishing E&O insurance and more. I am also working on understanding the laws of the land some more ….but if someone contacts me ….I’m available…as we are open for business at MYT Enterprises and I can come to you as a mobile notary.…I am also trying to get into some AI arbitrage stuff with my VA business…but I will talk more about that later. Another Day in the Field: The Reality Behind Property Inspections
This past Saturday, October 11th, 2025 …. I headed out for another field inspection job… this time for a two-bedroom, one-bathroom house. It’s always interesting seeing different properties and neighborhoods, and honestly, I still find the work pretty fun. Every home tells its own story, and being the one to capture it through my lens is part of what keeps me motivated.
But I will be honest, this is one of the most frustrating parts of these inspections ...when the clients don’t make sure the tenants (or themselves) clean up before the photos are taken. It’s hard to present a property in the best light when there’s clutter everywhere or rooms that clearly haven’t been touched in weeks.
I get it, life happens, people are busy, and not everyone keeps their home “photo-ready.” Still, for the owners and property managers, a little preparation goes a long way. A clean, tidy space doesn’t just make the photos look better… it helps showcase the home’s potential and can make a big difference in how quickly it rents or sells.
Even with the challenges, though, I enjoy what I do. There’s a sense of purpose in documenting properties, helping owners stay compliant, and making sure every detail is recorded accurately. Every inspection is a reminder that behind every address is someone’s story…. and I get to play a small part in capturing it. Well im off to email my invoice to the company who sent me out. September reminded me why I’m grateful for side hustles. While waiting to be commissioned as a notary in Ohio, I picked up a field inspection job that turned out to be a blessing.

The waiting period for a notary license can feel like life is on pause but because of my 9 to 5 and my connection to doing field inspections, September reminded me ….I had options. I got a text message for one of the companies i work for a field inspection assignment, drove out, snapped photos, submitted my report, and a few days later, money hit my account. Simple and flexible.

That extra income, gave me more savings in my account besides what I already gain from working my 9 to 5. Plus, it tied in with my notary skills—paying attention to details, documenting accurately, and being dependable.

Now that I’m commissioned again within the state of Ohio, I realize that season of waiting wasn’t wasted. Field inspections kept me moving forward and proved the power of multiple streams of income.

If you’re in a waiting season yourself, don’t be afraid to lean on something smaller in the meantime. Sometimes those “in-between” jobs carry you to the next chapter.
