The Clarksville Association of REALTORS® is saddened to share the passing of J Thomas “Tom” Denney, a retired U.S. Army Colonel, longtime REALTOR®, and valued member of our association.

Tom was a REALTOR® and General Manager with Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman for 19 years. Through his work in real estate and his many years of service to his country and community, Tom left a meaningful impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Before his career in real estate, Tom served more than 30 years in the U.S. Army, including four combat tours in Vietnam. His life was marked by service, leadership, humor, and a deep care for the people around him.

Tom passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2026, surrounded by his family. Please join us in keeping his wife, Sandra, their family, loved ones, friends, and former colleagues in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 8th, 2026, at 2:00pm at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville, Florida, with visitation beginning one hour prior.

Our most recent General Membership Meeting was a full house, and we loved seeing so many REALTOR® Members and Affiliate Partners join us at the Clarksville Association of REALTORS®!

The Clarksville Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy Class of 2026 recently wrapped up the program with student group presentations and graduation! 🎓

Students presented their group projects to Leadership Academy Alumni, Brokers, and members of the Clarksville Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors, then celebrated graduation that evening at Dave & Buster’s.

Congratulations to this year’s graduates: Ashley Fitch, Antonio McCarver, Bruce Dawson, Isabel Martinez, John Montgomery, Kenneth Wotring, Kira Lima, Lauren Woods, Lesa Capps, Madison Eleazer, Rachael Fierro, Sandra King, and Shelby Hansard.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the class, and offered feedback.

We also want to extend a special thank you to Joseph Degon for photographing the presentations and Brackets Media for photographing graduation.

We are proud of this year’s class and look forward to seeing the positive impact they continue to make in our association, industry, and community.

The Clarksville Association of REALTORS® is currently accepting donations for our Care for Kiana’s House donation drive, and we are so thankful for the kindness already being poured into this effort.

Kiana’s House is a transitional home for youth in the foster care system who are waiting for foster care placement. During a time that can feel uncertain, small acts of care can make a real difference.

We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Lisa Morrison with Simply Catering by Lisa and Travis O. Pettis with Top Catering for each donating a hot meal for the children and workers at Kiana’s House. Their generosity is helping provide comfort and care in such a thoughtful way.

CAR is also collecting textured hair care products and monetary donations for Kiana’s House. After speaking with the Department of Children’s Services here in Montgomery County about specific ways to support the home, we are collecting items such as curl-friendly shampoo, curl cream, leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner, detangling spray, edge control, hair moisturizer, scalp oil, satin bonnets, and satin pillowcases.

Donated funds will help purchase food and additional hair care items for the children staying there.

We’ll also be closed on Monday, May 25th and will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.

The Clarksville Association of REALTORS® is hosting Care for Kiana’s House, a donation drive created to support children in the foster care system who are waiting for placement in a foster home. Kiana’s House provides a safe, transitional home during a time that can feel uncertain for children.

After speaking with the Department of Children’s Services here in Montgomery County about specific ways to support Kiana’s House, CAR is collecting textured hair care products and monetary donations. Donated funds will be used to purchase food and additional hair care items, helping provide meals and care products for the children staying there.

Suggested donation items include curl-friendly shampoo, curl cream, leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner, detangling spray, edge control, hair moisturizer, scalp oil, satin bonnets, and satin pillowcases.

Thanks to the generosity of our REALTOR® Members and Affiliate Partners, the Clarksville Association of REALTORS® Helping Hands Committee was able to deliver 8 Mother’s Day bags filled to the brim with gifts to the mothers at Judy’s Hope Foundation. This donation drive was a meaningful way to show care, encouragement, and support to women who are working toward a fresh start for themselves and their children in a safe environment.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this project such a success! Each gift played a part in making Mother’s Day a little brighter.

We are especially grateful to Cheryle Strong, Dorothy Havens, Jonathan Wynn, Heather Myers-Boyd, Dee Miller, Teresa Hite, Shannon Stewart, and the Veterans United office for their generous donations and support.
