Back in 1954, it cost $20.32 to ship a Pomeranian from Michigan to Germany. Every now and then, we find some surprises like this (redacted) letter. We came across it in an estate we are handling. The decedent was stationed in Germany with the US Army and when his family went over, of course they had to bring the loyal family pet with them! We go through every piece of paper we find in a house when we're helping the executor with the estate. We find tax records, life insurance plans, and sometimes, we find air freight bills for dogs.
