‼️Warmer weather = more crime‼️this is especially true amongst our youth. During the summer, the most common juvenile offenses include vandalism, such as graffiti and property damage, often driven by boredom or peer pressure. Teens may also engage in shoplifting, particularly when with friends at malls. Underage drinking at summer parties poses significant legal and safety risks, while curfew violations can lead to more serious offenses. Increased social activities can lead to experimentation with drugs, carrying severe short and long term legal and health consequences. Additionally, exploring private or abandoned properties can result in trespassing charges, injuries and lawsuits.

Summer should be a time for fun and relaxation, but kids will face more opportunities to get into trouble. Parents can help their teens navigate the summer safely and responsibly by staying involved, setting clear expectations, and encouraging positive activities.
