Meet Chris Catanzaro!

Chris is the Managing Director of our Leasable platform, assisting tenants and franchisees around the country with their commercial lease review needs in an effective and efficient manner.
Chris has extensive experience in contract negotiation, risk management, and general business guidance, and is well versed in advising clients in a manner which appropriately balances organizational need and risk allocation.
Chris is a cm laude graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and is admitted to the Ohio Bar. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree at Shawnee State University, Chris continued to pursue his passion for serving business clients into a legal career at Northern Kentucky University, where Chris participated in the Bruce Lunsford Academy, a program intended for qualifying law students to combine legal and business education via an honors curriculum. While he finds great fulfillment in helping organizations to achieve business goals, Chris also spent time during law school providing pro bono assistance to a local firm working to expunge records of criminal offenses by victims of human trafficking. These efforts were focused on the end goal of assisting such victims to regain visitation rights with their children, find gainful employment, and secure safe and sustainable housing.
Chris is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Outside of the office, Chris loves watching sports, especially baseball, football, and hockey, and can be found most summer evenings watching or listening to the Cincinnati Reds while fancying himself, perhaps debatably, a grill master. Chris’ main passion in life is centered around his wife, his sons, and an ever-growing assortment of pets including cats, Alfie, Jackie, and Indo, and a wily Jack Russell/Beagle mix named Howzer.

Get to know Javier Esteve!

After years of working in criminal defense with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, Javier comes to Roda & Chalfant, LLC eager to reconnect with his business roots. His passion has always been in business development and strategy. Javier has assisted his family’s catering company, Paella At Your Place, to create steady growth year over year for more than a decade. Javier sets the company apart by providing top-notch customer service and high-quality strategic planning on everything from business goals to menu items. He has also worked in international sales, collaborating with global powerhouse brands like Bacardi, Brugal, and Pernod Ricard.

Javier is a graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and holds an MS and MBA in Sports Management from East Carolina University. During his time in law school, Javier served as a law clerk in an immigration law firm, assisting hundreds of clients process their immigration and asylum claims. There, he used his native Spanish language skills to work on asylum, refugee cases and employment-based visas. Javier has appeared in front of the U.S. Board of Immigration Appeals. While in law school, Javier also worked as a teacher for the Law and Leadership Institute where he taught students from underserved communities various topics including constitutional rights, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Being culturally competent has helped Javier more effectively communicate and empathize with his clients and counterparts whether it be professionally or personally. Javier has also worked as a Spanish Interpreter providing interpretation services for school, legal offices, medical facilitates and government organizations.

Javier is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Away from the office, Javier enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He likes all sports, anything related to food, and more recently has found a passion for fitness.

Meet Gage Meyers, Managing Director of Markable and Franchise Attorney!

At Drake University Law School, Gage specialized in intellectual property. As a law student, he assisted small businesses in developing their brands, e-commerce strategies, and terms of use. From formation to expansion, Gage has been there every step of the way to help businesses succeed. Later, Gage began working in the Iowa Secretary of State's Office, where he reviewed state trademark applications and closely studied the Patent and Trademark Office's review policies. He knows the ins and outs of the trademark registration process and ensures clients the best opportunity to have their brand names protected.

Gage works closely with clients at every step in the trademark process, keeping them informed and involved at all times. He understands how personal a business' brand is and what it took to develop that goodwill with their customers. Gage cares deeply about providing not just a great legal service, but great customer service as well.

Gage is a member of the Illinois and Iowa Bar Associations. When he isn't wearing his "attorney hat", Gage loves spending time with friends, family, and pets. He enjoys a glass of wine or a good sour ale after a long day's work. An avid fan of jazz, Gage ran Augustana College's jazz radio station for all four years of college.
