was originally established in Chico by Carl Cunningham in 1962, with its original office on the corner of First & Main Street. Ever since 1962 the firm has had its office in one location or another around the downtown area of Chico. Since 1998 Baywood has been operating under the name of Prudential California Realty by a franchise agreement. Last year Prudential decided to “get out of the real est

ate business” and sold its real estate franchise division to Brookfield Inc. We thought about it and if Prudential was getting out of the real estate business we decided to get out of the franchise business. Effective March 31st 2013 we will officially be operating again as Baywood Real Estate. Though we liked the Prudential name we feel even better about our future as Baywood Real Estate, because it is so Chico, and we believe in Chico. Many old timers will still remember the Baywood name and our distinctive logo. We are dedicated to introducing a whole new generation of clients, young & old, to Baywood Real Estate. Our dedication to providing state of the art real estate services stays the same. Our commitment to downtown Chico stays the same. Our ability to generate local economic benefits gets even greater!
