COOK COUNTY AMNESTY WEEK — APRIL 27TH TO MAY 1ST
For many individuals, outstanding moving violations and fees are the primary obstacle to getting their driving privileges back.
For a limited 5-day period, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County is waiving collection fees on eligible moving violations. This can result in substantially reduced balances and a meaningful opportunity to resolve issues that have been holding cases back.
This is a window.
Once these balances are reduced and brought into compliance, it may allow individuals to finally move forward with the Secretary of State reinstatement process.
**Key considerations:**
• Unpaid tickets and collections often prevent reinstatement
• Reduced payoff amounts can make compliance achievable
• Resolving these matters now can accelerate the path to lawful driving
**Payment options:**
• In person (Daley Center and all suburban districts)
• By phone: (312) 603-5030
• Online
**Important:** This program applies to moving violations only. Parking tickets and red-light camera violations are not included.

If you have been unable to move forward due to outstanding traffic matters, this may be the opportunity to take the next step.
