This is why it matters.
A lot of people assume that realtors are in this business to make loads of money or become the next cast member on Selling Sunset, but that’s not me.
I became a realtor almost by accident......My husband and many people who knew me enouraged me to get my license for years and I was always resistant. I had been a stay at home mom for a number of years and while I was thinking about what my next act would be, and at home real estate dominated our conversaitons (my husband is a builder and together we've renovated a few of our own residences as well as done some spec homes), I just never saw myself "selling". After a few more years of encouragement I took the steps to get licensed thinking I would just sell the projects my husband and I did. I was engaged in the class, passed the test, came home and said I was joining a brokerage, and the rest is history. Real estate "sales" for me is not at all about selling, it is really about guiding. I see my role as guiding my clients smoothly through a process that can be confusing and overwhelming, even in a balanced market.
To me being a Realtor is all about the people, and the places where they create their stories, not about the property
