Loizzi Law Offices is pleased to share a recent case result securing an $800,000 settlement on behalf of a 78-year-old woman who suffered a traumatic brain injury after a chair collapsed beneath her in a retail store.
Although the client initially believed she was unharmed, symptoms consistent with a traumatic brain injury developed days later. The insurance company denied responsibility and made no settlement offer, claiming the fall was unwitnessed, the chair was not defective, and that the client had no injuries.
After being retained, Loizzi Law Offices filed suit and immediately prepared the case for trial, retaining four expert witnesses to establish negligence and the extent of the injuries.
Through strategic litigation and expert testimony, the case ultimately resolved with an $800,000 settlement for the client.
