While practicing as a defense attorney, Jennifer acted as the lead defense attorney for countless jury trials, bench trials, arbitration and ADR proceedings involving premise liability, negligent hiring, dog bite, fire, auto, and construction cases, all of which resulted in thirty not guilty verdicts in her favor. • A $1,170,000.00 settlement for a woman who severely injured her back and had to undergo fusion surgery in an automobile collision.
• An $800,000 settlement for an injured electrician who fell from a ladder after lifting • rebar onto a ladder without having three points of contact.
• A $500,000 settlement for a young child who was killed in an apartment fire.
• A $450,000 settlement for an ironworker who fell from steel due to a defective beam skate with a full waiver of the worker’s compensation lien of $662,158.35.
• A $325,000 settlement for the wrongful death of a woman involved in an automobile vs. motorcycle collision, dram shop claims, and allegations against two drivers for drinking under the influence, one of whom settled for her policy limits of $100,000, and one being uninsured.
• A $250,000 settlement (the policy limits) for a young girl who suffered a leg fracture in an automobile accident when the driver of her car, also a minor, lost control of his vehicle while driving on a highway.
• A $225,000 settlement regarding an employment discrimination case filed under the Americans with Disabilities Act after taking only four depositions. A $207,000 settlement for a woman who was in an automobile collision and suffered a head injury.
• A $185,000 settlement for an injured ironworker who suffered a shoulder injury when he slipped on concrete while constructing a wind tunnel in Stephenson County.
• A jury verdict of $115,000 (which was approximately five times the pre-trial offer) involving a woman at a wine making party who fell down a negligently constructed staircase.
• A $100,000 (policy limit) settlement for a man who injured his wrist as a result of an automobile collision.
• A $120,000.00 settlement for a bricklayer who injured his jaw after falling from scaffolding.
• A $100,000.00 settlement (the policy limits) for a woman involved in an automobile collision who suffered soft tissue injuries to her back.
• A $90,000.00 settlement for a bricklayer who injured his shoulder after falling from scaffolding.
• A $75,000.00 settlement for a woman who sustained soft tissue injuries to her knee after slipping and falling on a foreign substance in the lobby of a store in Will County.
• A $67,000 settlement the day of trial for an injured man who was involved in an automobile collision from which he suffered soft tissue injuries.
• A $65,000 settlement for a woman who was attacked against her landlord who did not properly secure the locks of her apartment building in Winnebago County.

• A $40,000 binding arbitration award for a man who was involved in an automobile collision from which he suffered soft tissue injuries to his neck in Winnabego County.
• A $32,000 verdict for a woman involved in an automobile collision who suffered a soft tissue injury to her neck and a minor concussion in DuPage County.
• A $23,500 settlement for a man who was involved in an automobile collision who suffered soft tissue injuries to neck and back in Georgia.
• A $15,000 settlement for a man who fell down a flight of stairs due to a defective railing and suffered a minor injury to his ankle. Moreover, for the past 3 years, Jennifer has been an adjunct law professor for the nationally acclaimed legal writing program at The John Marshall Law School. Upon graduation from The John Marshall Law School, after being the President of John Marshall’s Student Bar Association, Jennifer was appointed a member of the John Marshall Alumni Association’s Board of Directors; she has served as a member of that board for the past eight years. She will serve as Third Vice President of the JMLS Alumni Board for the 2014-2015 bar year. In 2011, Jennifer received The John Marshall Alumni Association's coveted Presidential Service Award for her dedication to the organization, JMLS students, and the school as a whole. Jennifer currently serves on the Executive Board of The John Marshall Law School Alumni Association as Assistant Treasurer. Jennifer is also a member of the Executive Council of the Young Lawyer's Section for the Chicago Bar Association. Jennifer was recently elected Treasurer of the Women’s Bar Association after serving on the WBAI's board of directors for six years. Jennifer developed a new and fresh marketing concept for the WBAI’s website, publications, and other marketing pieces for which she received a Service Award from the WBAI's President during the 2009-2010 bar year. Jennifer co-chaired the WBAI's Annual Installation Dinner, its largest event, as well as the WBAI's Judicial Reception during the 2010-2011 bar year. Jennifer is co-chairing the 2013 Judicial Reception and the 2013 Golf Outing. Jennifer has also been selected to co-chair the WBAI's 100th year Installation Dinner celebrating the WBAI's 100th Anniversary. Jennifer’s time coordinating communications projects and social events as an intern in the Social Office of the White House under the Clinton administration in 1999 has given her a unique perspective which she has undoubtedly applied in all of her roles with the WBAI. This year, Jennifer was selected to chair The Diversity Scholarship Foundation's Unity Dinner where was given the DSF's coveted "Advocate for Diversity Award."
