DiCello Levitt, together with co-counsel, has filed a proposed nationwide class action against Subaru of America, Inc. and Subaru Corporation over alleged premature subframe rust and corrosion in certain 2010–2017 Subaru vehicles.

The lawsuit alleges that corrosion affecting the front subframe and nearby steering, suspension, and braking components can create serious safety concerns for Subaru owners and lessees.

One of the world’s greatest war correspondents, Marie Colvin, was killed in Syria in 2012 while reporting on attacks against civilians.

Her family fought for accountability. In 2019, a U.S. federal court found that Syria had deliberately targeted Colvin because of her work and awarded her family $302 million in damages.

Then Syria’s government changed.

Years later, the country argued that its new leadership should not be responsible for that judgment. The court has now rejected that position, confirming that Syria remains bound by the judgment and must also pay post-judgment interest, which now exceeds $60 million.

“A change in government does not erase a country’s legal obligations,” said DiCello Levitt Partner Scott Gilmore, lead counsel for the Colvin family.

A major Michigan Supreme Court ruling has restored the Michigan Consumer Protection Act’s (MCPA) intended reach, with important implications for consumer and class action litigation.

In a new Expert Analysis for Law360, DiCello Levitt Founding Partner Adam Levitt and Associate Madeline Hills examine Attorney General v. Eli Lilly & Co. and the Court’s rejection of nearly three decades of precedent that broadly shielded regulated businesses from MCPA claims.

The ruling puts the focus back where it belongs: on the conduct at issue, not simply whether the business is regulated.

DiCello Levitt and co-counsel have filed a motion seeking to centralize more than 20 federal lawsuits brought by individuals who allege they were stalked, tracked, harassed, threatened, or otherwise harmed through the misuse of Apple AirTags.

The lawsuits allege that Apple designed, manufactured, and marketed AirTags without adequate safeguards against stalking and domestic violence—even after advocates and technology experts warned that the devices could be used to secretly track people. The plaintiffs further allege that delayed alerts, insufficient protections for Android users, and other safety failures left victims vulnerable.

The motion seeks to transfer the cases to the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings. Centralization would streamline discovery into common issues—including Apple’s knowledge of the alleged risks, the adequacy of its safety features, and the feasibility of safer alternative designs—while preserving each plaintiff’s individual claims.
