PAL- chicago- Manila route will start on November 9, 2026.
AND ITS OFFICIAL! PAL IS FLYING TO CHICAGO FROM MANILA THRICE WEEKLY!
Philippine Airlines is expanding its U.S. network with a new nonstop Manila-Chicago service starting November 9, giving the airline its eighth destination across the United States and its territories after Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Guam, and Saipan.
The new route gives PAL a direct link to the U.S. Midwest, adding another major gateway for both passenger and cargo traffic as it continues to grow its trans-Pacific network.
“Chicago is considered one of the premier hubs in the United States, and our entry into this vibrant city will provide direct connectivity to the Midwest,” said Richard Nuttall, the airline’s president. “At the same time, serving the Chicago–Manila corridor will create vital links to key regional destinations and major Philippine domestic markets through our Manila hub.”
The service will operate three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Flights will leave Manila in the afternoon and arrive at Chicago O’Hare in the afternoon local time. Return flights from Chicago will depart in the evening and arrive in Manila early the next morning.
PAL will use the Airbus A350-900 on the route and said passengers can expect full-service amenities, including meals, generous baggage allowance, and cabin comfort across all classes. Introductory roundtrip Economy base fares start at USD 667 for bookings made from April 16 to May 31, 2026.
The Chicago launch is part of PAL’s wider U.S. expansion. Starting June 1, 2026, Manila-Los Angeles flights will increase from 14 to 18 weekly, while Seattle will rise from five to six weekly flights in June and July 2026.
In hindsight, we now know the importance of the Airbus A350-900 in the PAL fleet. Two A359s are not enough. They definitely need more.
