Today, we honor Juneteenth — the day that marked the end of slavery in the United States and a significant step forward in the ongoing pursuit of freedom, equality, and justice.

As we reflect on this pivotal moment in American history, it is imperative that we recognize the resilience, contributions, and legacy of Black Americans in the pursuit of equal justice under the law.

Juneteenth reminds us that progress requires courage, advocacy, and a commitment to holding institutions accountable. As a firm dedicated to fighting for those who have been harmed, we acknowledge the importance of listening to survivors, amplifying voices that too often have gone unheard, and working toward a more just future for all.

Supporting organizations that strengthen the legal profession is important to us.

We were proud to sponsor WBAI's Annual Installation Dinner & Awards Gala, joining judges, attorneys, and legal leaders from across Illinois for an evening recognizing leadership, service, and the advancement of women in law.

For more than a century, WBAI has championed women lawyers while fostering mentorship, advocacy, and professional excellence throughout Illinois. We are grateful for the opportunity to support its mission and the important work it continues to do.

GGH Partner Marty Gould and GGH client / Roblox whistleblower “Schlep” were honored to join so many other leaders in the nationwide fight for survivors of sexual abuse at CrimeCon 2026, where the audience heard from many courageous survivors (Jeffrey Epstein, Larry Nasser, Roblox), their lawyers, law enforcement, legislators, and non-profit advocates. Panelists discussed their cases, trauma, and the long fight for accountability and justice against some of the most powerful people and companies in the world.

Pictured below: “Schlep,” Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill, investigative journalist Chris Hansen, Olympian Gymnast J.D. (who filed the first lawsuit against Larry Nassar), J.D.’s attorney / survivor advocate John Manly, and the CEO of the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC) Renee Williams.

Please join us in welcoming our 2026 Summer Interns and Law Clerks to Gould Grieco & Hensley!

This talented group of students and recent graduates comes from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, but they share a common commitment to advocacy, service, and the pursuit of justice.

Throughout the summer, they'll work alongside our attorneys and staff, assisting with legal research, case development, and litigation support while gaining firsthand experience advocating for survivors of sexual abuse and other victims of negligence.

We're excited to have them on our team and look forward to the contributions they'll make in the months ahead.

Before he became a lawyer, Ryan O’Connell saw firsthand the difference advocacy can make for a family in crisis.

As a teenager, Ryan attended his first trial after his cousin suffered serious injuries in an assault. Sitting in that courtroom and watching a lawyer fight on behalf of his family changed the way he viewed the law — and the role a legal advocate can play in someone’s life.

That experience ultimately led him to pursue a career dedicated to helping people who have been wronged.

Today, at Gould Grieco & Hensley, Ryan works with victims of catastrophic injury and wrongful death stemming from transportation crashes, workplace incidents, medical malpractice, and more.

What drives him is the opportunity to be the same kind of advocate for his clients that once made such a lasting impact on his own family — helping them find support, stability, and a way forward after devastating circumstances.

Join GGH Founding Partner Bryce Hensley on Thursday, June 4 at the Four Seasons Philadelphia as he presents on the panel, “Do No Further Harm: Trauma-Informed Administration" for the Angeion Group Mega Summit.

Bryce will join other leaders in the mass tort, class action, and personal injury space to discuss how trauma-informed practices in notices, call centers, and settlement administration can help protect claimants, reduce re-traumatization, and improve access to justice for those navigating complex litigation.

As a nationally recognized advocate for survivors and plaintiffs, Bryce brings extensive experience leading high-stakes mass tort and sexual abuse litigation with a client-centered approach focused on accountability and ethical outcomes.

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage reminds us that protecting others often comes at great personal cost — and that standing up for people who need support, protection, and justice matters.

At Gould Grieco & Hensley, advocacy is at the heart of what we do. Today, we reflect with gratitude on those who dedicated their lives to something greater than themselves and we honor the families who carry their legacy forward.

Construction negligence cases are rarely straightforward — and proving liability requires dedicated and specialized attorneys.

In the Summer 2026 issue of the ITLA Trial Journal, GGH Partner Charlie Terry shares insights and expertise on litigating complex construction injury claims in the article authored and titled, “Constructing a Winning Construction-Negligence Case.”

From retained control to third-party liability strategies, the article breaks down the legal and practical considerations that can make the difference in high-stakes construction litigation. GGH Law Clerk, Henri Swanson, played a huge role in the research, drafting, and editing of this article as well.
