Congratulations to Managing Partner, Ian Alexander who settled a case involving a Pedestrian, age 31, who was struck by a vehicle operated by the mother of his unborn child while she was taking residents of a group home where she worked on a "comfort ride" during the early days of Covid. Defendant became hysterical when she came upon the plaintiff talking to another woman, they had a confrontation and she lost control of the vehicle injuring the plaintiff and others. Def was prosecuted and plead guilty to felony aggravated assault.

Congratulations to our partner Michael Cox. In 2024, Michael was Goldberg & Goldberg, LLC's lead trial lawyer in the White v Advocate Condell Medical Center trial. Michael tried the case with our late partner Barry Goldberg and another former partner. The First District’s decision in White v. Advocate Condell Medical Center affirms a $25 million wrongful death verdict and over $3 million in prejudgment interest. The court upheld the verdict holding causation was not not speculative, rejecting attempts to diminish the plaintiff's 19 year marriage with evidence of a subsequent romantic relationship, and held pre judgement interest was constitutional for the 10th straight time.
