Hey 1L's, start your reading week early and come join Lexis for a trivia event focused on CivPro review! It will be a good chance to review via multiple choice questions and win some great prizes. The overall winner will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card + 2500 Lexis Points! Additionally, the top finisher from EACH 1L section will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card plus 1,000 Lexis Points each! Our final introduction is 1L student Nic Zito (he/him)!

Nic is interested in government law, criminal law, and business/startup transactions. He is also exploring the area of family law as a clerk in the Chicago-Kent Family Law Clinic. Nic is also a member of the Justinian Society and was elected as SBA Class Representative where he is a member of the career, technology, and finance committees.
•
Outside of his studies, Nic is a real estate broker, amateur guitar player, and breakfast chef. He is especially passionate about getting younger people involved in public service.

Next up is 1L day student Emily Shapiro (she/her)!

In addition to being a Lexis Associate, Emily is involved both on and off campus! She is a member of the Society of Women in Law and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers. Emily also volunteers with the Institute on the Supreme Court of the United States (ISCOTUS) at Chicago-Kent as well as Future Ties, a Chicago-area non-profit.

First up in our series is 1L day student Aylissa Ritterhoff (she/her)!

Aylissa is from Peoria, IL and is studying Intellectual Property (IP) law at Chicago-Kent. She works in the IP Patent Law Clinic and serves as Social Media Director of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. Aylissa is also a member of the Black Law Student Association and the First-Generation Law Student Association.
