The Harriet Tubman Initiative, LLC

The Harriet Tubman Initiative, LLC We prepare commutations & pardons. We're also seeking to contract with newly licensed attorneys.

Wrongfully incarcerated individuals is another area of our work: court filings, DNA testing, & extensive investigations are examples. Statistically, a preponderance of the populations locked up is represented among African American males and to a lesser degree, Latinos.

We apologize for adding the following list late. We prepared a list of all individuals vying for judgeships in all Cook County of Illinois subcircuts. Hopefully, it will help you. Too many of them practice racist tactics against Black and Latino men, a practice resulting in a disproportionate number of those classes represented in prison populations. So much for the dialogue now.

This kid is a genius! A 9-year-old college student took a tour of the Maryland-based NASA campus and taught the scientists there a thing or two 👏😌.

While the goal was to treat the young student to a fun experience, they were the ones left in awe, with a spokesperson saying how the workers were “impressed” by his knowledge.

David Balogun made history in February by becoming the youngest person to graduate high school in Pennsylvania. He also became the second-youngest person in the nation’s history to graduate from high school, and his field of interest is space, specifically black holes and supernovas.

After news of his graduation made headlines, NASA and the Maryland-based Space Telescope Science Institute invited the brilliant young man to visit the agency’s James Webb Space Telescope Mission Operations Center in Baltimore, according to Insider.

This message is to Brother Raymond P Richard -- thank you for supporting the incarcerated who are attempting to exit the evils of the United States Prison System. In particular, thank you for getting signatures from many sources to amend the Truth-in-Sentencing law, a draconian law that has multilated Black families, destroyed Black families, discouraged Black & Latino families. We will rise again. Having said that I personally thank everyone who is committed to supporting the Truth-in-Sentencing Petition to eliminate mass incarceration. Go to the email:

The Truth-in-Sentencing law that requires minimum & maximum sentences for all felony convictions, has contributed enormously to mass incarceration all over the United States. In Illinois alone, there are numerous counties wherein the ONLY industry is a prison. Who have been the most negatively impacted, African American and Latino men and women. The prisons are frequently overcrowded in addition to having horrible conditions such as mold in the cells, poor drinking water, poor ventilation in the cells, and other infrastructure problems. The prison population must be reduced, preferably to the 1970s levels which was approximately 700,000, and there are new industries that can replace slavery by another name. The massive population issue is America's crime. We must and we will fight to end mass incarceration that is nothing but an extension of slavery. The following link leads to our online petition. Our goal is to collect no less than 10,000 signatures -- Let's restore families, let's end poverty . CHANGE IS COMING!

Although HB3653 was signed into law by Governor JB Pritzker in February of 2021, some provisions either went into or will go into effect at later dates. For example, the end to Prison Gerrymandering goes into effect on January 1, 2025. THIS MEANS THAT PRISONERS WILL NO LONGER BE COUNTED IN A COUNTY'S POPULATION. RATHER, THEY WILL USE THEIR LAST ADDRESS BEFORE GOING INTO IDOC CUSTODY. OR, IF THEY HAVE ANOTHER ADDRESS THEY WISH TO USE, THEY CAN DO SO. THIS WILL BE A BIG DEAL BECAUSE SMALL TOWNS IN ILLINOIS HAVE BUILT THEIR TOWNS BY INCLUDING THE PRISON POPULATION IN THEIR OVERALL POPULATION NUMBERS. THE END OF PRISON GERRYMANDERING WILL MEAN ONE MORE WIN FOR PRISONERS WHO ARE, ACCORDING TO THE 13TH AMENDMENT, SLAVES!! Read the following: Consider that in 1865, even as Congress was enacting the 13th amendment to the Constitution to abolish slavery, it created a loophole that it would remain legal as a punishment “within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” Also, take note that the Emancipation Proclamation was signed in 1865, the same year that the 13th Amendment ensuring the continuation of slavery for conviction of a crime was created!
