Its a great feeling to help clients during the COVID-19 pandemic

Syregelas & Kasmarick Law Offices recently obtained a $686,000.00 Dollars Settlement in favor of a 29 year old client involved in a car accident. Defense vigorously denied damages as Client had pre-existing conditions. Syregelas & Kasmarick successfully argued that clients injury's were directly related to the accident and required arthroscopic and Labral repair to her hips. IT IS ESPECIALLY SATISFYING, since client had just been let go from her job due to COVID-19.

There are many times when clients come to us in the middle of a dispute under a prior lease agreement, loan agreement, real estate contract, stock purchase agreement, or many other contracts, that they either prepared themeselves or signed without first having an attorney review. Frequently, the dispute could have been easily avoided or resolved much easier (and cheaper) if an attorney had reviewed or prepared the contract in the first place.

Consider attorneys like an insurance policy, you pay a small fee up front to avoid larger fees down the road.

The hardest won rights are often the easiest to lose, and in the thickets of fine print surrounding every labor contract or credit card bill, all it takes is one careless signature to get roped into a deal with the devil—before you know it you've already compromised your right to a fair trial or t..…

$1,500,000 verdict in Medical Malpractice Trial.

Attorneys Kyle Kasmarick and Nicholas Syregelas obtained the substantial verdict this week in a case alleging loss of vision in one eye due to improper care of a corneal infection.

Following five days of trial the jury deliberated less than an hour and a half before returning the exact amount requested. The defendants made no settlement offer at any point in the case.

Syregelas Law Obtains Confidential Settlement for Family of Store Manager Who Suffered Fatal Heart Attack at Work

Nicholas C. Syregelas and Peter A. Papoutsis recently finalized a confidential worker’s compensation settlement for the family of a retail store manager who suffered a fatal heart attack at work. It was uncontested that the worker had a significant history of hypertensive heart disease and sleep apnea. The Defense argued these conditions were the sole cause of the employee’s unpredictable heart attack and his death was unrelated to any of his job duties. Multiple experts gave opinions supporting this defense argument.

However, our firm was able to locate medical literature showing sleep apnea could worsen pre-existing hypertension and hypertensive heart disease. We then used the worker’s sleep study records and doctor’s recommendation to work a set schedule and contrasted those instructions with the employee’s time records which showed highly irregular hours. Our argument that these irregular hours were at least one cause of his eventual heart attack convinced the arbitrator to recommend that the employer Defendant make a settlement offer. Despite multiple experts expressing opinions in the Defense's favor, our theory and arguments prevailed leading to the favorable award.
