Please join us in welcoming Katrina Robinson to Ancel Glink! 🎉

Katrina joins our Workers' Compensation team as Senior Counsel. She has been defending municipal and private employers in workers' compensation claims since 2009, and she is known as a tenacious advocate who is detail-oriented and cost-conscious.

Before focusing exclusively on representing employers in the private sector, Katrina gained valuable experience as in-house counsel for an insurance company specializing in workers' compensation and civil litigation defense. She has a strong record of favorable case resolutions. She is a savvy negotiator, and she does not hesitate to defend employers through trial and appeal when appropriate.

Katrina earned her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and her Juris Doctor from UIC Law School.

Congratulations to the Waukegan Housing Authority on the grand opening of Riverside, a new senior living community in Waukegan! 🎉

Our Senior Counsel Martin Walker, who serves as legal counsel for the Waukegan Housing Authority, was on hand to celebrate. Riverside was built by the Waukegan Housing Authority in partnership with several private investment and banking entities, a project that shows what's possible when public and private partners commit to quality housing and to improving the lives of Waukegan residents.

Mayor Sam Cunningham, a product of Waukegan public housing, spoke about his upbringing and about how much safe, comfortable housing matters to a person's spirit.

The awards recognize excellence in park and recreation management and were presented at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) conference. Both districts received the Grand Plaque in their population class:

Congratulations to Ancel Glink Partner Paul O'Grady on his reappointment to the Illinois Mine Subsidence Insurance Fund (IMSIF) Board of Directors, where he is serving a two-year term as Chairman. Paul has served on the IMSIF Board since 2014.

"I'm honored to be reappointed," said Paul. "Thank you to Illinois Department of Insurance Director Ann Gillespie for her continued confidence and support. I'm grateful to keep working with our fellow Directors, President & CEO Heidi Weber and the IMSIF team. Our job is to make sure Illinois property owners have financial resources when mine subsidence damages their property."

Mine subsidence affects more of Illinois than most people think. An IMSIF-funded study by the Illinois State Geological Survey found that about 323,500 acres of urban and developed land in Illinois sit on or right next to underground mines. That matters to homeowners, and also to municipalities, school districts, park districts and other public bodies responsible for roads, buildings and infrastructure.

IMSIF's 2025 Annual Report shows a year of progress:

•A move to an in-house claims adjusting team, for more consistent service
•Nearly 400 outreach touchpoints with insurance agents, realtors, adjusters and the public
•New research on where underground mines meet Illinois communities
