Loftus & Eisenberg

Loftus & Eisenberg was proud to sponsor and attend the 27th Annual Illinois Bar Foundation Gala last night at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.

The evening celebrated the legal community’s commitment to advancing access to justice and supporting lawyers throughout Illinois and honored Larry R. Rogers, Jr. with the Distinguished Award for Excellence.

The event is always a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends across the legal profession while supporting the Illinois Bar Foundation’s important work to expand access to justice and strengthen communities across our state. Already looking forward to next year's event.

When a $45+ million lease portfolio goes into default, the stakes go well beyond unpaid rent.

Loftus & Eisenberg is solely representing property owners in federal litigation involving behavioral-health facilities in Anchorage and Denver, seeking more than $1.7 million in unpaid rent and property taxes, plus more than $45 million in remaining lease obligations. The cases involve complex issues of lease liability, related entities, successor liability, fraudulent transfers and receivership.

Business litigation is about more than the contract. It’s about protecting assets, pursuing accountability and addressing the full business structure behind the dispute.

2162 Lawrence Investors LLC v. Zinnia Health LLC, et al., No. 1:26-cv-04214 (D. Colo.)

The allegations described above are contained in the complaints filed in these matters. The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven otherwise.

We’re pleased to announce that five attorneys at Loftus & Eisenberg have been recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers as 2027 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. The distinction is based on peer nominations, evaluations, and independent research. No more than 5% of attorneys in each state are selected to the Super Lawyers list, while no more than 2.5% are selected as Rising Stars.

This year is especially meaningful for Gail Schnitzer Eisenberg, who has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer after 10 years as a Rising Star. As an attorney under 40, this marks a significant milestone in Gail’s career and recognizes her professional accomplishments, dedication to her clients, and reputation among her peers.

Please join us in congratulating all our 2027 honorees, including Alex Loftus (3rd year as a Super Lawyer following 11 years as a Rising Star), David Eisenberg (5th year as a Super Lawyer), Rae DiPaolo (3rd year Rising Star) and Rebecca Weissman (2nd year Rising Star).

We are pleased to see these attorneys recognized for their continued professional excellence, commitment to their clients, and dedication to their practice. Congratulations to all five on this well-deserved recognition.

We recently secured a $3.1 million pre-suit settlement for our client—including $675,000 above his principal investment for interest and attorneys’ fees.

The case was built from the other side’s own documents. We identified the inconsistencies, presented the evidence, and made clear we were prepared to litigate.

They called the same day. No complaint. No discovery. No courtroom. Just a $3.1 million recovery for our client.

At Loftus & Eisenberg, we know that strong advocacy doesn’t always require a lawsuit. Sometimes, the right preparation gets results before one is ever filed.

At Loftus & Eisenberg, we’re proud to support causes that are deeply personal to our employees and the people in our community.

This year, we’re especially proud to sponsor MS Strength & Style, a new signature event raising critical funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and our own Jess Vogel Loftus who serves on the board of trustees and helps lead the effort to raise critical funds to support those with MS, to fund research for treatments, and ultimately find a cure.

At Loftus & Eisenberg, we believe that being a good firm means more than the work we do every day. It means showing up for the people and causes that matter to our team, supporting meaningful work in our community, and standing behind our employees when they put their time and energy toward making a difference.

We’re honored to stand alongside Jess and support the important work of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as we work toward a future without MS.

Six years ago this summer, Loftus & Eisenberg opened its doors.

Six years of standing up for our clients, building a team we’re incredibly proud of, and growing a boutique litigation law firm grounded in flat-fee based structures, advocacy, integrity, and personal attention.

We’re especially grateful to the people who have made these six years possible: our incredible employees, our clients who trust us with their stories and their cases, and our families who support the work we do every day.

We may be celebrating a little after our official anniversary, but we wanted to make sure this milestone got the celebration it deserved, and hit it out of the park. ⚾️

Here’s to six years, and to all that’s ahead. With Alex Loftus, David Eisenberg, Gail Schnitzer Eisenberg, Jordan Shea, Rebecca Weissman, Jess Vogel Loftus.

When the praise keeps coming, you know you’re doing something right.

And this review is definitely worth the read. It’s a detailed look at what makes Jordan Shea such a valued member of the Loftus & Eisenberg team, and we’re especially proud to share it as the second glowing review Jordan has received in just one week.

From deep knowledge of Illinois law and strategic judgment to responsiveness, preparation, and collaboration, the review highlights the many qualities that make Jordan an exceptional attorney and co-counsel.

But one part really stood out: his ability to tell a compelling story, taking complex legal and factual issues and presenting them in a way that is clear, persuasive, and engaging. That skill can make a tremendous difference in complex litigation.

We’re grateful to our clients who take the time to share their experiences and put their trust in our team. Jordan, we think this one is pretty well deserved. 👏

Another civil case. Another federal indictment.

This marks the fourth time in the last four years that a civil matter we've handled has led to federal criminal charges.
