Dog bite at a friend’s house? You can still have a case.
A lot of people think they can’t do anything because it was “someone they know.” Not true. Homeowners insurance usually covers dog bites, even in a private home.
If you’re attacked:
Take photos of your injuries
Get the dog owner’s info
Ask about insurance
Get medical treatment immediately
Don’t brush it off just because it feels awkward. Those injuries can be serious, and the law doesn’t change just because it happened at a friend’s house.
