I was talking to a coordinator of a youth program. She said she wears Jordans every time she speaks to teens, not because she likes them, but because the teens go CRAZY over her shoes! 👟👟

She joked about how teens wear Nikes until the soles are damn-near flapping and they have holes in the bottoms!

Every day, parents call me for legal advice for their teen or adult son or daughter. In almost every conversation, the parent tells me instructions they gave their son or daughter as the situation was unfolding, after police came knocking, or before the incident went down: 🗣️"I told him to just..." or "I always tell my kids to..."

Trust me. It is ALWAYS, ALWAYS, 100% of the time --- WRONG!!!!! In 2 decades, I have yet to meet a parent who gave their kid sound legal advice, BUT the parent always swears up and down that their advice was based on the law. 🤯

In fact, much of what they told their kids was downright DANGEROUS. No exaggeration -- their words alone, set their kid up for arrest, conviction, and a long prison sentence, AND increase the likelihood of injury.

To counter that, in addition to my game, I've done online webinars throughout the pandemic, panels, and community workshops for parents. I realize that these one-and-done sessions haven't been comprehensive enough.

Parents need more support.

So, I'm throwing out a lifeline to my friends with kids 13 and up and I am releasing my inaugural signature course for parents.

This is how it started. After months of posting know-your-rights videos on Facebook and having one reach 1.2 million views overnight, I woke up with the idea to create a board game.

My only goal at the time was for the game to reach and teach people whom I would never meet, and who would never know my name. It has done that and much more!

If I am good at nothing else, I can get some media attention!📺📻 When I hosted my community know-your-rights event two summers ago, many of my sponsors' company names, founders; headshots, and even phone numbers got featured on NBC News!

Of course, I can't promise that will happen for you, but I am already in talks with the media about covering this event. I have contacts at every network in Chicago.
